EMS EDUCATION
EMS classes are created and tailored to the topics your crews need.
Upskill is different because our classes are authentic, fun, lighthearted, and meaningful. We run customized monthly and quarterly EMS continuing education courses for several agencies in the Reno-Tahoe area.
One Chief said, "Wow, I've never seen these guys so engaged in a class before!" That's what we aim for!

The classes are typically 2-hour sessions filled with simulations, skills stations, case studies, and game-based learning. No lectures here!
ACTIVITY-BASED LEARNING
With Upskill's unique approach to game-based learning, students walk away learning new things and applying new skills while having fun. Studies have shown that game-based learning leads to better retention (2021, doi:10.1016/j.chb. 2021.106963)

SIMULATIONS
Life throws many surprises at us, and while we cannot predict the outcome of any situation, we can take control of how we respond. With simulations, we practice medical emergencies in a safe setting so we can better respond in real life.
SKILLS
Practicing with emergency equipment and exercising infrequently used skills on a regular basis ensures accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork for paramedics and EMTs.
AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION COURSES
Upskill's instructors have been teaching American Heart Association's courses for the over15 years including PALS, ACLS, BLS for Healthcare Providers, and CPR/First Aid. We make sure the learning scenarios match your practice setting.
